All medication brought to school, prescription and non prescription MUST be brought to school by a parent/guardian. Do NOT send any medication to school with students.

Prescription medications brought in by parents should be in the original pharmacy provided container with the label intact and legible. The prescription medication form should be completed by the parent/guardian AND the prescribing provider and given to the nurse or designated personnel.

Over the counter medications brought in by parents should be in the original UNOPENED container. The over the counter medication form should be completed by the parent/guardian and given with the medication to the school nurse or designated personnel.

Any over the counter medication will be administered for no longer than 3 consecutive days after which time a written order from a licensed prescriber must be presented.

Students may carry throat lozenges and cough drops as these are not considered a medication.


All medications MUST be picked up by the last day of school, or the medication will be safely disposed of by the school nurse.

*** If your child has emergency medications prescribed such as inhalers/epi pens/diabetic supplies PLEASE make sure that you provide these to the nurse the first day of school
(or prior to), and if your child's medical care provider allows them to carry their emergency medication with them PLEASE make sure they have it with them on a daily basis
