Thursday, December 3rd, Giles County Public schools is providing an update on the current positive cases within the school division.  They are as follows:
Macy – 1 positive staff
EEMS – 1 positive staff; 2 positive students
GHS - 1 positive staff; 2 positive students
NHS - 2 positive students

We will continue to review and stress the importance of following the proper practices each day, particularly wearing face coverings.  Please continue to check back for weekly updates.

November 17, 2020:  As information, based on the amended Executive Orders announced by the Governor on Friday, November 13th, effective immediately, all students and staff will be required to wear a face covering during the school day, even if 6 ft. physical distancing can be achieved.  This will provide the safest learning environment for all students and staff.  If you have questions about appropriate masks, please refer to this information posted on the CDC website -  We thank you for your adherence to this requirement and look forward to continuing to provide the safest learning environment possible for everyone.

Return to Learning Plan - Revised Effective Nov 16, 2020
Giles County will begin the 20-21 school year on a hybrid schedule but will re-evaluate our plan and health conditions at the 4-week mark and will determine if the move to the Traditional In-Person method is warranted.
