Dear Parents/Guardians:
In an effort to better assist you in obtaining information regarding school
closings, emergencies, etc., we will be partnering with the County of Giles
and the Giles County Sheriff’s Office in the use of the CodeRed Alert System. The CodeRed Alert System provides the school
system, as well as County officials, the ability to share information through a
pre- recorded telephone message to targeted areas or to the entire county. Please do not rely on this as your #1 source
of information, because there could be technical difficulties which could allow
this not to work.
If you are interested in subscribing to this system, you will need to do the
following:
(1) From an internet browser, log into the School Board
Office website (sbo.gilesk12.org), any school website, or the County of Giles
website (www.gilescounty.org).
(2) Click on the CodeRed link.
(3) Proceed to provide your information (name, address,
primary and secondary phone number)
(4) Click on the Continue button to verify that the
information you entered is correct.
(5) If you do not have internet access, you may stop by
the Giles County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center, the County Administration Office,
or the Giles County School Board Office to pick up a data form in order to fill
it out.

notification that we have utilized in the past, including the following:
