Dr. Terry E. Arbogast, II
Superintendent of Giles County Public Schools

 

Dr. Terry E. Arbogast, II was appointed as the Division Superintendent for Giles County effective August 10, 2004.  Previously he served as Deputy Superintendent, Principal and Assistant Principal of Narrows High School.  Prior to coming to Giles County he worked in Fauquier County Schools.  Dr. Arbogast earned a Masters Degree from George Mason and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Virginia Tech.  He and his wife, Lynn, reside in Pearisburg, VA.

I am excited about the prospects a new school year brings and I look forward to working with the Board of Education and the excellent staff of Giles County Schools.  Giles County has enjoyed many successes in the past.  I look forward to working with everyone to continue building on those successes.  We face many new challenges with new federal regulations but I am confident that with the dedicated staff, parents and community members, Giles County Schools will continue to be recognized for their excellence in the areas of technology and student achievement”. 

Located in Southwest Virginia, Giles County Schools are located in the beautiful New River Valley and house approximately 2530 students in two high schools and three elementary/middle schools.
