Rate of Pay:

• with a 4 year degree, $80 per day when substituting for a Teacher
• with a High School diploma or GED, $60 per day when substituting for a Teacher
• $50 per day when substituting for a Teacher Assistant or Secretary

Substitutes are paid on the 15th of every month for days worked in the previous month.

• Example:  November 15th check would pay for days worked from October 1st - October 31st.

Forms included in the application packet that must be completed and returned prior to approval for substitute work:

• Criminal Records background check through the Virginia State Police (requires $37.00 money order)
• Child Protective Services background check (requires a $5.00 money order)
• Employment Eligibility Application (I9).  Two IDs are required for this form.
• Child Support form under Code of Virginia 60.2-114.1
• Physician's certificate of Tine Test form
• Federal and State tax withholding forms
• Substitute's verification form
